Imbolc

Imbolc, also known as The Promise of Spring or Saint Brigid's Day, is a holiday just before spring that celebrates the coming of the light and the sun. A day between winter solstice and spring equinox, it is a time where the earth is still cold but the days slowly grow longer. It is a time of fertility and welcoming the new intentions and life coming into the world.

Symbols of Imbolc include the sun, sheep/wool, snowdrops, daffodils, flowing water, triple goddess and the colors white, orange and red.
